Downturn in growth stocks

I hold $602,000 USD in growth stocks. It now showed a unrealized loss of $132,000 or 22% from my cost. Many of the stocks are now at 45% below their recent peak prices.

Of the above, $190,000 is in Tesla stock which now shows a loss of 4%. The remainder are in 9 other stocks in the genomics and technology sectors with a loss of 30%.

I have decided to hold on to these stocks and wait for their eventual recovery. I may have to hold some of the stocks, especially the genomic stocks, for several years, as it will take time for their research and development of new techniques to cure diseases to be approved.

I have realized profits from the growth stocks during the past two years the more than cover the above unrealized losses. I am therefore able to hold on to the existing stocks for several years, without feeling the loss.

Apart from the growth stocks, I have invested in value stocks in China (bought through Hong Kong). They are showing a healthy gain. My Singapore stocks are about break even.
