Profitable trade on Cassava Science (SAVA)
05 Aug 2021 (237 views)

Cassava Science (SAVA) is a startup that is developing a cure for Alzheimer's disease. I learned about the stock from the YouTube channels.

I invested in the stock earlier this year and sold all my shares to realize a profit of $16,700 (USD).

After that, I did not monitor the progress of the stock.

The price shot up over 300% from $40 in May to $135 in late July. The company reported successful trial results on their treatment for Alzheimer's disease.

After the announcement, the stock price dropped by 50% to $70 over the next two days.

I felt that the price correction was overdone. I bought 800 shares at an average price of $81.5 giving a total investment of $65,200.

I sold off the 800 shares tonight for a total of $75,900. I realized a profit of $10,700.

The trades were closed within two days. I did not have to pay for the shares. Instead, it was a contra trade.

It was a successful trade by paying attention to the price trend. Luck contributed a lot to this outcome.

I did not use technical analysis. I felt that the price had dropped too much. After it has recovered 15%, I felt that it was time to take the profit.
