I read
a news article that the shortage of semiconductors will great good growth opportunity for the industry over the next two years.
It covered several American semiconductor stocks. I added a few Asian stocks to this list, namely SMIC, Samsung, TSMC.
The financial indicators are listed in the table below.
I have sorted them in the order of PE ratio.
The stocks with PE ratios less than 20 are Intel, ASE, SMIC and UMC. Three of them pay a dividend of between 2.8% to 4.4%. Three of them have a total debt to equity ratio of below 45%.
My preference is for Intel, but I find the other three stocks to be attractive as well.
I have a large investment in SMIC, which is based in China. As the development of the semiconductor industry is critical for China, I believe that this stock will do well.
