What consumers can do, when the insurance company repudiate liability
16 Jan 2014 (0 view)

Hi Mr Tan,

I read about this thread on your blog about Insurance company repudiate the liability and what you wrote was what exactly happened to me. I checked with a few legal advisors and advised me to drop the case because like what you said it is time consuming and risky because no matter what the result is (Which probably I will win and have a piece of paper hanging on my wall if the third party is poor or  even announce bankruptcy) I will have to fork out the money first to engage a legal advisor.

Luckily I was charged a token only for repairing my car in my long time workshop.

I am sure I am not the only victim of this type of scenarios because like what you said some irresponsible drivers can just don't report the case and insurance companies repudiate the liability. But then how me or many others out there seek justice or even damages when many of us can't even afford to take the risk of engaging a lawyer?

I really hope with your experience you can let me know is there any way to seek justice and damages.
