The six US tech stocks shown below had dropped by an average of 39.4% since its peak during the past 52 weeks. The largest drop is Meta (58.4% drop) and the lowest is Apple (24.1%)
Is it time to invest in these stocks?
Jim Cramer, the host of CNBC Mad Money program, recommended to invest in Apple and Nvidia.
I studied the trailing and forecast PE ratio for these stocks (see below). The forecast PE ratio of Nvidia is 25.9 and for Apple is 22.32. I consider these two PE ratios to be too high. I do not agree with the recommendation.
Among the stocks listed, I would only be interested in Meta, with a forecast PE ratio of 14.22. It has dropped sharply.
However, I am not enthusiastic about the money spent on Meta on developing the metaverse platform. I do not expect this platform to generate revenue or profit within the near future.
I will avoid the US tech stocks, even though they have fallen quite sharply.
Note - this is a personal opinion. I am not giving investment advice.
