Many people invested in REITS (real estate investment trust) as they comprise of several properties. The REIT gives the rental income, net of management expenses. The return was about 4% per annum. 

The return was quite attractive, when compared to the low interest rate on bank deposits. 

The recent hike in interest rate has been bad for stocks, bonds and for REITS as well. 

The table below shows the drop in the prices of the REIT over the past year to 26 Oct 2022. The drop ranged from 7.28% to 27.31%.
