Analysis of Grab
15 Nov 2022 (325 views)

Grab is involved ride hailing, food delivery and financial services in several countries in South East Asia.

Its highest price in January 2021 was $13.90. The current price is $2.96. The price had dropped by 79%.

Grab showed an EPS (trailing 12 months) of -$0.83, i.e. a loss of 83 cents. The current share price of $2.96 presents 3.5 times of the annual loss.

The book value per share is $1.86 and the cash per share is $1.77. The current cash will last 2 years of losses.

If Grab is not able to turn around and be profitable, it will run out of cash in 2 years time. It will need to raise additional capital from shareholders.

I own 1,000 shares of Grab. It is showing a loss.

The prospects for Grab is not encouraging.

Note - this is a personal view. I am not giving investment advice.
