Several people expressed interest in my portfolio. In this article, I present a breakdown.

The capital in my portfolio is $4,040 k. I started the portfolio 3 years ago with $1 million and added to the portfolio over the years. The current value of my portfolio is $4,683 k million giving me a portfolio gain of $643k. All figures are converted to SGD

Most of my stocks are kept in my POEMS account. The breakdown of the market values is SG (6.1%), HK (46.8%) and US (51.8%). The percentages are calculated on the capital of $4,040k. They add up to more than 100% because of the portfolio gain.

I have $182k (4.5%) in cash, waiting to be invested. I have $272 k (6.7%) invested in the Tiger account for short term trading. I find this platform to be more convenient for trading.

My largest holdings are:

Tesla (43.5%), Cosco Shipping (8.0%), China Petroleum (7.2%), ICBC (7.1%), Country Garden (6.4%), Kerry Prop (5.7%), China Railway (4.2%) and PICC (3.7%).

I am overweight in Tesla at 43.5%. I have special knowledge of this stock and am confident of its long term future. However, I will probably bring down the investment to 20% of the portfolio.

My other large holdings are in China stocks traded in HK. They total 46.8% of my portfolio. My holdings in SG stocks are relatively small.

I do not hedge my portfolio. I prefer to ride up and down. It will sort itself out over a few weeks.

Do you hedge any of your positions to lock in profits or protect your downside?

I compared Tesla and BYD before investing more in Tesla. BYD had a low profit margin. Tesla had a large margin.

I’m surprised you haven’t invested in BYD. And I’m curious what you see in Cisco. Care to share your thoughts? Thanks

I did not realize that my holding in Tesla represents 45% of my portfolio. It is overweight. I will bring it down to 20%.
