The Financial Services Consumer Association (FISCA) is now registered as an association under the Registrar of Societies.

The main activity of FISCA is the maintenance of this website, and especially the sharing of information on investments and insurance to the members and the public. 

For the past few years, the members were not interested in the activities of FISCA as an association. Most members do not attend the annual general meeting, apart from a small handful who agreed to be in the committee. 

It has been quite troublesome, for a few years alrealdy, to arrange the general and committee meetings to meet the requirements of the Registrar of Society.

I propose to call a special general meeting for FISCA members to approve the following resolutions:

1. To discontinue FISCA as an association from 1 January 2024.
2. To appoint Tan Kin Lian to continue the FISCA website in his personal capacity
3. To transfer a sum of $2,400 to Tan Kin Lian for the maintenance of the website for 2024, to meet the obligations towards members who have paid their subscription fees.
4. To transfer the balance of the funds of the association (estimated to be less than $5,000) to the Homeless Heart of Singapore, a registered charity

It is my intention to continue the FISCA website and to stop subscription from 2024. 

I hope that members will support the resoutions to be submitted in the special general meeting.
